About Tariflo
Tariflo is built by a small, independent team. We're not a customs brokerage, and we're not trying to replace one — we're trying to close a gap that a lot of small importers and ecommerce sellers run into: the enterprise software that big importers use to model landed costs is expensive, complex, and simply out of reach for a business shipping a few pallets a month.
Why we're building this
If you sell on Amazon, run a Shopify store, or import goods for resale, figuring out what a shipment will actually cost — duties, tariffs, brokerage fees, taxes, freight — usually means digging through tariff schedules, guessing at classification codes, and hoping your margin math holds up once the shipment clears customs. Get it wrong and a "profitable" product turns out to lose money the moment landed cost is counted honestly.
We wanted a tool that gives a fast, clear, defensible estimate before you commit to an order — without requiring a customs broker, a spreadsheet built by a consultant, or a five-figure software contract. That's what Tariflo is trying to be.
What we care about
- Transparency. Every estimate breaks down exactly where each dollar comes from — duty, tariff, brokerage, taxes, shipping — instead of handing you a single opaque number.
- Clarity over false precision. We'd rather be upfront about the limits of an estimate than pretend a calculator can replace a licensed customs broker or an official ruling.
- Useful for the size of business we serve. Small importers and independent sellers shouldn't need enterprise procurement to get a decent cost estimate.
Who it's for
Tariflo is built for small and mid-sized importers, Amazon and Shopify sellers, and anyone sourcing products from overseas who needs to know landed cost and margin before placing a purchase order — currently with a focus on shipments into Canada and the United States.
A young, independent product
We're early. This is a young, independently built product, and we're actively adding countries, refining accuracy, and shipping features based on feedback from the people actually using it. If something looks wrong or missing, we'd genuinely like to hear about it.
